STEER (Short term educational experiences for research) is a paid, eight week, research internship at the University of California, Berkeley. Gain
valuable experience and join other students who are interested in
careers in science working on research projects that could be important
for future academic and career opportunities.
Last year (2014), 11 undergraduates spent the summer as paid interns working with some of the world’s leading experts in the field of Environmental Health Sciences. They carried out short research projects and participated in a series of inter-disciplinary seminars covering many aspects of public health research including: toxicology, biology, epidemiology, exposure assessment, ergonomics, and geospatial analysis.
